Omaisena edelleen is an association established in 2005 that supports those care-givers whose loved one affected by a long-term illness, advanced age or disability is about to move, or has moved, to a care environment outside the home.
Phases of change and transition
- respite care situations
- a final transfer to care provided outside the home
- the need for support when relinquishing responsibility for care-giving
- cooperation between staff and patients’ family members
are issues which the Assosiation wishes to influence through its activities.
In addition, the association develops support measures for groups of family members, residents and staff working in the care units in question. The aim is to promote quality issues and resident-centred operating methods through various means of education and informing.
